Why we fact checked this: The Facebook post bearing the claim has gained 2,100 reactions, 1,500 comments, and 148 shares, as of writing. It was originally posted on Sunday, September 15.
The post reads, “Taylor Swift cancels Eras Tour dates after endorsement backlash: ‘Only 2,300 tickets sold.’”
Several other posts with the same claim have also been circulating online.
The facts: Swift has not canceled any of her upcoming Eras Tour concerts.
A review of Swift’s official website on Monday, September 16, shows no cancellation notices, whether for her international or US shows.
The only canceled tour stop was the three-day concert in Vienna, Austria, last August, which was called off due to security concerns. This happened around a month before Swift endorsed Harris.
While some of the posts circulating online claim to be satire, several Facebook users believe Swift’s concert has indeed been canceled.

US presidential elections: The posts with the false claim began circulating after Republican nominee Donald Trump publicly expressed his “hate” for the American singer after she endorsed his Democratic opponent, Harris.
In a post on his Truth Social platform on Sunday, the former president wrote: “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”
On September 10, Swift said in an Instagram post that she would be voting for Harris and her running mate Tim Walz. The singer also addressed a fake post that Trump shared containing what appeared to be AI-generated images along with the false claim that Swift had endorsed him. In the 2020 polls, Swift endorsed US President Joe Biden and his running mate Harris. The singer has also previously criticized Trump’s “ineffective leadership” during the coronavirus pandemic. – James Patrick Cruz/Rappler.com
