MANILA, Philippines – OPM icon Ely Buendia will release his solo album Method Adaptor on November 8, his second after his solo debut, 2000’s Wanted: Bedspacer.

In that span of time, nearly 24 years, the artist has moved within various creative spaces, from the superstardom that was the Eraserheads in the ’90s, to the quieter confines of his apartment for his first solo effort. In the same period, Buendia would explore various sounds from modern rock to RnB to jazz with several outfits, Pupil, The Oktaves, and Apartel, and also collaborate with the likes of Francis M., The Itchyworms, and Cheats.

But at the start of this year, Buendia would make the decision to do a full solo album again, an endeavor that he says would become a practice in examining who he is as an artist.

The first single off the album, “Bulaklak Sa Buwan” gives us a glimpse of that, wherein we see Buendia touch on the topic of propaganda and disinformation built on the metaphor of a mythical bulaklak sa buwan.
